I recently had a landscaping company to my house to repair my sprinkler system. The owner said they could not get out in 3 days to repair it as they would be in my neighborhood, then for regular mowing. They used a tracking device to locate the valve and replaced and it worked, repair lasted about one hour. I received an invoice the next day for $ 364.23 for repair. $ 235 was to locate and replace the valve, the valve for $ 29.23 and $ 100 for the rental of the locating device to find the valve. Prior to leaving I never asked the cost for them to go out and do the repair (I know, my mistake). The owner said a portion of the $ 235 was owed for consulting services by phone when we tried to diagnose the problem. She also said they ran out of repair. I find this whole Bill a bit absurd. Consulting services and rental locator information! I sent a check for $ 179 and said that I do not pay more. I live in Texas, what are my rights in this situation? Thank you.
