canon lens landscape photography
Canon EOS 40D lens help! What should I buy lenses that can help with landscape and macro photography??
I'm about to buy my first DSLR and I am new to DSLR system together. I owned a Canon SD630 for about 2 years and I'm about to buy a Canon EOS 40D. As I discovered, there are lots of lenses for digital SLR cameras. I am looking into doing Macro Photography (flowers, insects, etc.) and also landscape photography (sunrise and sunset, beaches, fields, etc.) ... I'm on a limited budget and I do not buy more than 1 lens ... Please suggest a lens that can handle all my needs comfortably. Also, give me some advice on filters to obtain for landscape photography ... Thank you finally a digital SLR is really worth or should I go for the FinePix S100FS? Please I will appreciate all your responses. Thank you ...
Firstly, a digital SLR is really penalty if you can afford. The 40D DSLR is a very pleasant, and I do not think you go wrong buying it. It is fast and produces high quality images. She and the FinePix S100FS is not in the same league. For what is a good goal for the landscape, I looked at the Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 XR Di or the Canon EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM. They are both good lenses for landscape photography, and it really depends on your budget which one to buy. There will be about a difference of 100.00 $ Between the barrel and the Tamron. Finally, perhaps you should try searching some forums for digital photography online to see what others are saying on the Canon 40D and various lenses for that.
