Tree company damaged my neighbor’s tree when cutting my tree, who should be responsable?
The big tree at my backyard is a safety concern to my kid and my house, so we hired a tree company to cut it down. Unfortunately, though the tree cutter used a rope, when big branches were cut down, they broken some branches of our neighbor’s tree. My neighbor is not happy and found someone who does landscaping work claimed more than 600 hundred when they came to my house. The tree company has insurance and sent the paper to our neighbor. My neighbor said they will find someone to evaluate the damage. I wonder who should be respondable for this damage? What should we do now? Should we pay the tree company before the issue is resolved? What if the tree company’s insurance does not pay？ Thanks for your help.
the tree company’s insurance will handle it…. when my son had them take down a tree of his, a branch that was roped took a bad bounce and went THRU the side of the neighbor’s house!!… they paid for everything…. and yes, my son paid what he owed them as the job was finished…. he didn’t have to do anything more as the tree company and their ins. took care of it all….
main reason to be absolutely sure the one you hire HAS good insurance!!… both liability and medical on their workers!…
